Yumi's Baby Bump Session | Arroyo Beach | Santa Barbara, California

i absolutely adore baby bump sessions and this one was no different!  yumi and i made our way to arroyo beach {aka hendry's | the doggie beach} in gorgeous santa barbara california.  arroyo has always been one of my favorite beaches...  i love that it is more secluded; save the occasional dog and dog owner walking by.  i love the shear cliffs and the powder sand.  i love the vistas and the morning light; it is also a great beach to watch the sunset.  it was a no-brainer, perfect setting for our photo shoot and yumi was absolutely amazing to photograph!!!

Becky + Julian | Mother and Son Mini Session | Chicago | West Loop

i have known becky for many, many years! let's just say we still had perms and were tight rollin' our jeans when we first met in st. charles, illinois.

becky is an amazing woman! not only does she teach middle school in bucktown, but she is also a cheerleader; and I am not talking in the "rah rah, pom pom" sense.  rather, in the life coach/fitness sense.  becky is a beach body coach and she helps women reach the goal of leading a healthy balanced lifestyle. becky's stamina and genuine interest in helping others is infectious!  every day i see her posts on facebook and am inspired to choose healthy options and to get my booty off the couch and go work out.  to top it all off, becky does all this while raising her beautiful son julian (aka juge).   

i had a blast hanging out with becky and juge in chicago's west loop for our annual photography session.  julian is a dream [and such a ham] and the love they share for one another makes you giggle! we watched for trains, jumped around puddles and held hands while crossing the road.

Glandon Family | Bucktown | Chicago Family Session

meet the glandon family.  mom, dad, parker + basil...and let's not forget george the monkey. i had so much fun exploring our neighborhood of bucktown on a beautiful fall evening.  i love to use this familiar location for many of my sessions and knowing that the glandon's reside in bucktown too made it all the more special to them.  parker is absolutely adorable and her curiosity is inspirational. she cracked me up the entire time!  i hope you enjoy these photos as much as i do!!
